Expanding AEGIC’s eLearning flour milling platform to China

In 2024, AEGIC launched the eLearning flour milling platform for Indonesia’s milling industry.

With investment from Grains Australia, AEGIC is adapting this platform to the Chinese market, which has been Australia’s largest wheat market for the past three years.

The eLearning platform will develop the skills of Chinese flour milling staff, with a focus on understanding how to use and optimise Australian wheat.

The training consists of 29 modules covering the entire milling process and related operations. Delivering the eLearning platform in Mandarin and English will increase the reach of a proven training program, strengthen Australia-China industry relationships, and increase awareness of the benefits of Australian wheat.

Completed (March 2025)

• We completed the translation of the eLearning course to Mandarin.
• The course was submitted for review to Chinese Academy of National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration.
• The Mandarin eLearning program was officially launched at AGIC Asia 2025 in China.

The program will be maintained on an ongoing basis with a final report to Grains Australia in June 2025.
