Barley quality market intelligence: China and Vietnam

With investment from Grains Australia, AEGIC will work with customers of Australian barley in China and Vietnam to collate objective intelligence on the quality and functionality attributes that customers require from Australian malting barley. These insights will help inform Australian industry decision-making on opportunities in these markets.

This project complements AEGIC’s project Barley quality market intelligence: Central and Latin America.

Scheduled (October-December 2025)

• We will be visiting China in November 2025 to commence technical engagement and information exchange with malting barley customers.
• We are planning to visit Vietnam early 2026 to commence technical engagement and information exchange with malting barley customers.
