The 2014-15 Quality of Australian Canola publication detailing the values for core quality attributes for Australian canola has been released by the Australian Oilseeds Federation (AOF) in conjunction with the New South Wales Department of Primary Industries (NSW DPI).
AOF Executive Director Nick Goddard said the publication had been developed to provide the industry, including crushers, exporters and export markets with independent and objective analysis results of key canola quality attributes.
“The Quality of Australian Canola publication includes analytical results for key quality attributes for canola oil, protein levels, glucosinolate content of the seed, seed test weight, fatty acid breakdown and iodine values,” Mr Goddard said.
“Understanding these quality attributes is very important for end-users of Australian canola and the feedback has been that this is a very useful, highly regarded and well respected publication.”
With the publication now in its 13th year it also serves as an historical record of both analytical results as well as seasonal conditions.
